The praised Michigan-based coffee company has another location in store for metro Detroit.
The fourth Madcap Coffee location is coming to Ferndale at 430 W Nine Mile Road, per a report from Crain’s Detroit Business. The shop will be installed at the ground floor of the FerndaleHaus Lofts. An estimated opening date is sometime in February.
The coffee company was started in Grand Rapids in 2008 by coffee connoisseur Trevor Corlett. He currently has two Grand Rapids locations and one Detroit shop at 1413 Farmers Street downtown. The coffee company has gained national recognition and works with coffee producers around the world.
“The Madcap Coffee experience is all about providing excellent coffee and exceptional cafe hospitality,” says the description on their website.
Their shops sell hot and cold lattes in a cafe setting, as well as bags of roasts and apparel themed to the company. Some of their brews at the cafe include espressos, cortados, cappuccinos and vanilla lattes. For the new location, food items that have not been announced are also being served.
Madcap will be at the corner of W Nine Mile Road and Planavon Street, across from The Corner Grill in downtown Ferndale. The shop will also have outdoor seating during warmer weather.
