David Ayyash, the CEO of a local restaurant group that owners The Jagged Fork and La Pecora Nera, is preparing to open two restaurants in Detroit.
The restaurateur is gearing up to have a big year, starting with opening a third location of La Pecora Nera in Birmingham at 135 Pierce Street, according to the Detroit Free Press. Ayyash tells What Now Detroit that he hopes to open this location in early to mid-March 2025, following locations in Detroit and Farmington. The company’s third location will be approximately 1,000 square feet and sit in the former home of Planthropie.
When La Pecora Nera opens in a couple of weeks, customers can expect more than a dozen sandwiches on the menu, as well as breakfast sandwiches, salads, and desserts. The company takes pride in making sandwiches using the highest quality Italian meats and fresh vegetables; all dressings are made in-house.
This is just the beginning for Ayyash, who tells What Now Detroit that he is also working on a new concept called Spruce and Ash, opening in Downtown Farmington Center in the former Chive Kitchen space, according to last year’s Farmington City Council Meeting. This concept is expected to open in late March or early April, offering a variety of delicious American fare. The restaurant will be open mainly for evening and dinner service, but Attash hopes to open for brunch on the weekends.
These two upcoming restaurants prove extremely impressive for the business owner, considering Ayyash and his team recently launched their new venture, Chaos Burger, located on Clifford Street in downtown Detroit, near La Pecora Nera. This carryout-focused restaurant specializes in smash burgers, offering single, double, or triple sizes, along with Chaos burgers featuring special sauce and deluxe options, as well as Chaos fries and regular fries.
