A popular ice cream brand with 23 locations in Michigan will soon have a new shop in Northville.
From Hometown Life, Kilwins will be opening at 191 CadyCenter. This is going in the downtown area and will be the 24th Kilwins in Michigan. Right now, a mid-December opening is planned.
The franchisers are Keleigh and Bryan Styles from South Lyon. Their family had been looking at locations across metro Detroit and found the former Urban You medical spa that seemed to be the perfect fit for the shop. When contacted, Bryan and Keleigh were not available for comment.
Kilwins is known for their fudge as much as their ice cream. Many flavors of fudge are offered, including cookies & cream, sea-salt caramel, peanut butter and traditional chocolate. Locations also sell caramel apples, and caramel corn and brittle.
The company has seen growth, but also has scaled back some locations including the Ann Arbor shop which will close in December. The Northville shop will be across the street from the Tirami Su Italian restaurant, on the south side of the city’s downtown. Work is currently being done inside the space to prepare for opening.
The shop is currently listed on the Northville Chamber of Commerce website with this description:
“Kilwins offers premium chocolates, fudge, and ice cream crafted with care – creating joyful, nostalgic experiences and strengthening community through sweet traditions.”
More information such as hours of operation and opening date will be released in the near future.
