A locally owned Mexican restaurant is cooking up another location in metro Detroit.

Mr. Miguel’s Mexican Grill & Cantina is planned for The Mall at Partridge Creek, an open-air shopping center in Clinton Township.

This will be the fifth location for the business, which can currently be found in Warren, Brownstown, Livonia and Utica. Steve Savich and his father opened the first one in Warren in 2015. The name is an ode to their first restaurant, Mr Mike’s Grill in Westland.

The menu includes fajitas, tacos, enchiladas, burritos, quesadillas and more. The restaurant is also known for its cocktails and margaritas, including a signature avocado margarita.

Mr. Miguel’s Mexican Grill & Cantina is going into a 5,544-square-foot space at the mall. The restaurant is one of several new tenants coming to the mall as they add new dining options and retail businesses to the offerings.

Savich told What Now Detroit they are under construction now and hope to be open in May or June 2025.

Until then, you can find Mr. Miguel’s Mexican Grill & Cantina at one of its existing locations:

  • Warren: 26837 Ryan Road
  • Brownstown: 21980 Telegraph Road
  • Livonia: 39305 Plymouth Road
  • Utica: 7636 Auburn Road
