Lake Orion-based Johnny Black’s Lakehouse appears to be working on a new location in St Claire Shores. The township’s planning commission reviewed an exterior remodeling application for the upcoming location last month. The proposed new restaurant is located at 24409 Jefferson Ave.

Founded by Deni Bozinovski and Matt Moore, Johnny Black’s currently has six locations in Michigan in Waterford, Rochester Hills, Shelby Township, Sterling Heights, and two in Lake Orion. The full-service restaurant serves breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner. The restaurant chain offers an extensive menu of starters, bar bites, handhelds, pasta and bowls, entrees, and sides, as well as a standalone breakfast/brunch menu. The chain is also known for its carefully crafted kid’s menu and $12 lunch specials.

Bozinovski submitted site plans for approval for exterior renovation for Johnny Black’s Lakehouse. The 6,491-square-foot building was previously occupied by Mike’s Palm Room and a brewpub called Dragon’s Landing. Only a few blocks away from the shores, the site sits among several other eateries, including Chinese restaurant Golden Chopsticks, American bistro Waves, and an Italian restaurant and pizzeria called Licavoli’s.

What Now Detroit reached out to Moore but hadn’t heard back by the time of this coverage.
