The team behind Mad Nice restaurant is soon introducing a new coffee shop to a mall in Troy.
It was recently reported by Detroit Free Press that Mad Nice Coffee will be opening on the second level of the skywalk at the Somerset Collection shopping mall, 2800 W Big Beaver Road. This is set to open in the fall.
The menu has not been released yet, but it will have coffee blends, pastries, bagels, soups salads and grab-and-go items to choose from. Mad Nice Detroit recently posted on Instagram that the location will have “not your bubbe’s bagels” and “stupid good coffee.”
Mad Nice restaurant, at 4120 2nd Avenue, opened in March 2023, along with a cafe near the space. The restaurant offers a brunch, lunch and dinner menu. As the brunch menu features bagels and baked goods, these items may be transferred to the new location.
According to the press release, the new shop will have “Italian soul, West Coast vibes and Detroit sauce.” Their signature items will be their breakfast sandwich and their famous soft-serve vanilla bean gelato with house toppings.
The exact address at the mall has not been released, but it will be on the south side of the shopping center. The hours of operation will be from 9 a.m. Monday through Saturday and from 11 a.m. on Sundays.
