On April 24, Jinya Ramen Bar celebrated the opening of its first location in the state of Michigan with a Grand Opening that commenced at 11 a.m. in the restaurant’s new home at 129 Main Street in Royal Oak.
“The opening was very well received, with a lot of great reviews,” Developer Michael Bailey, one of the franchisees behind the location, told What Now on Friday. “We had a really great week.”
The restaurant, which has more than 60 locations nationwide, offers ramen varieties like Flying Vegan Harvest (vegan miso broth: Impossible™ meat made from plants, tofu, bean sprouts, broccolini, green onion, corn, red onion, crispy garlic and chili seasoning » served with thick noodles) and Premium Tonkotsu Red ramen (pork broth: pork chashu, kikurage, green onion, seasoned egg, nori dried seaweed, red hot chili oil and spicy bean sprouts » served with thick noodles).
There are also Rice Bowls like the Chicken Chashu Bowl and mini tacos featuring proteins like Salmon Poke and Spicy Tuna.
“It’s the first in the state of Michigan, and the first Jinya Ramen Bar our group has done,” Bailey said. Bailey’s experience with franchising includes a stake in 52 Buffalo Wild Wings locations. “Our group has been in the Buffalo Wild Wings system for more than thirty years.”
“JINYA is known for its slow-cooked approach to ramen, made from broths simmered for 20 hours in-house,” says the Jinya Ramen Bar website. “From its customizable menu to sleek interiors, JINYA Ramen Bar presents a contemporary Japanese dining ideal for lively social gatherings for all ages.”
“Now we have an opportunity to do a number more units in southeastern Michigan,” Bailey added—that includes (we asked) Metro Detroit. So keep an eye out for news of future locations coming down the pipeline.
