Mochinut is continuing expansion in Michigan with a new location in the Detroit suburbs.

A new lease was recently secured for a Mochinut shop at 29518 7 Mile Road in Livonia. This follows news of a new shop coming to Taylor early next year. The timeline of opening for the new 2,500-square-foot space has not yet been released.

Mochinut currently has locations in Dearborn, Berkeley, Ann Arbor, West Bloomfield, Troy, Shelby Township and Rochester Hills. Norman Abro from Keystone Commercial Real Estate is the tenant representative for the space, and according to the team there is a 10-year lease for Mochinut. This area is called the Livonia Marketplace.

The company was founded in 2020 and has almost 200 locations around the country. Their mochinut-balls are a popular item with many dessert flavors. The shops also serve fried hot dogs with mozzarella and potatoes. Drinks like bubble tea and soft serve ice cream are also on the menus.

This fresh new Mochinut will be built in a plaza near the corner of 7 Mile and Middlebelt roads. It is the same listed address as Hibachi Express Chinese restaurant. Koney Island Inn is also attached to the building, and it is just south of the Walmart in the plaza.
