Jackson County Township is getting a new coffee shop. A Biggby Coffee location is in the works at 320 Brooklyn Rd in Napoleon, according to a story first seen on MLive. The location is anticipated to open some time this fall.

The franchisees behind the upcoming Napoleon store are Gerry and Lynsay Lobdell, and Mike and Jessica Perry. The four good friends also own the Biggby in Vandercook Lake and Spring Arbor. According to Biggby’s district manager Katie Gibson, construction for the Napoleon location is expected to complete by mid-September and the building will have an indoor cafe and a drive through.

Gibson told MLive that a lack of coffee shop options in the area was one of the key reasons why the brand chose the location. “There’s nothing really out that way. There’s Aggie’s Sports Bar, but there’s not any coffee shops or anything like that.” Gibson added that she expects to hire around 15 more employees.

What Now Detroit reached out to the franchisees but hadn’t heard back by the time of this coverage. Based in East Lansing, Biggby Coffee has over 300 stores throughout the United States. A different group of franchisees are working on a Biggby Coffee location in South Bay County, as reported here.
