Drivers going down Ford Road in Dearborn Heights are noticing a new Lebanese restaurant.

Beirut Eats is listed online at 24634 Ford Road in the Detroit suburb. This follows conversations online about a new Beirut-themed restaurant coming to the city. According to owner Ali Alammar, the restaurant is two months out from opening.

From Michigan Business Search records, Beirut Eats applied for space in February of this year. Photos have already been posted to Google, and these show the storefront is already up, and the inside is being worked on.

The menu has not yet been released. Alammar said it will not be typical Middle Eastern food, but catered to Beirut dishes, hence the name. Beirut ingredients typically include pita bread, hummus, veggies and various meats.

The business is going in next to Rafic’s Falafel Middle Eastern Restaurant and Al-Saha Meat & Bakery. This is near the intersection of Ford Road and Kingsbury Avenue.

Alammar said the restaurant is still in the early stages of development, and new information will be released soon.
