A coffee spot near the Fairlane Town Center mall is in the works for this year.
From their social media, Medina Coffee Company is opening at 6099 Greenfield Road. It will join the growing coffee shop presence on the north side of Dearborn. An opening date is not set, but the space is under construction.
“We’re bringing quality to the quantity market–every detail designed to work, from the space to the cup,” says the description from a recent Instagram post. It adds the coffee shop will open just in time for Ramadan, which starts on Feb. 17.
The 2,800 square-foot space will have a “relaxed and comfortable” design, carrying the theme of Yemeni and Middle Eastern coffee shops that have opened in the area. It is being built in the plaza near the intersection of Paul Avenue and Greenfield Road, on the opposite side of YemenUSA department store.
For the menu, visitors can expect a variety of coffee blends, as well as desserts which will be unveiled closer to the opening. Medina is also opening a location in Plano, Texas this year. The address, however, has not been released.
The company, from Michigan Business Registry records, looks to have been established in April 2025. It is being opened by Salahdeen Tylinski, a local of Dearborn. Tylinski does not have any other listed businesses right now.
What Now Detroit has reached out to Tylinski, and this article may be updated.
