Changes are coming to downtown Plymouth this year.

From their social media, La Pecora Nera has teased a new cafe and deli coming to downtown Plymouth at 873 W Ann Arbor Trail. This will be the company’s fourth location. Owner David Ayyash said it is too early to announce an opening date as he has just started renovations of the new cafe.

La Pecora Nera is a known name around Southeast Michigan, with location at 1514 Washington Boulevard in downtown Detroit, 23631 Farmington Road in Farmington and at 135 Pierce Street in Birmingham. What Now Detroit covered La Pecora Nera coming to Birmingham early last year. Ayyash said he and his team have been looking to get to downtown Plymouth for a while as it is a prime location for a coffee shop.

The cafe and deli company serves many sandwiches on sourdough focaccia bread out of Rising Stars Bakery. These include the original turkey with provolone and house garlic & herb aioli, and the Italiano with genoa salami and fire roasted ham. Locations also serve house-made salads and sides like creamy tomato basil soup and Great Lakes kettle chips.

Ayyash said he plans on running a “more robust” coffee program at the new location. The cafes already make brews like espressos, lattes and cappuccinos.

Le Pecora Nera is under construction at the corner of W Ann Arbor Trail and Forest Avenue. This is next to Vida Voyager clothing store, and is near establishments like Pizza Spot and EG Nick’s Downtown Plymouth. Street parking is available just west of the building.
