The award-winning furniture and design brand is debuting a restaurant to complement their store in downtown Birmingham.
From a recent online listing, RH Rooftop Restaurant will be opening in the RH Detroit furniture store at 300 S Old Woodward Avenue. This will accompany the building that has been under construction as of this summer. Staff of the RH Birmingham location told What Now Detroit the restaurant will be opening in about a month, along with a new gallery at the same time.
RH owns over 110 furniture stores in the U.S., specializing in furniture for many settings including living rooms, dining rooms, bath and outdoor. This is not the first restaurant inside an RH, as the company operates dining areas at over 20 of their locations around the country. There are a variety of concepts for the restaurants, serving Italian dishes and wines.
The store, in a commercial area downtown, is across the street from the Daxton Hotel at the corner of E Brown Street. Crain’s Detroit Business reported in July that RH would be opening by mid-October. It was part of a mixed-use development plan with residential units that has since been amended.
On OpenTable, the restaurant is listed as coming soon, and it will serve American cuisine. What Now Detroit reached out to Vice President of Hospitality for RH Ryan Wagner, who did not want to disclose information on the new restaurant.
