A national restaurant chain themed to rock and roll is coming soon to the suburb.
From recent reports, Rock & Brews will be opening at 208 W Fifth Avenue in Royal Oak this spring. This is part of the chain started by Kiss members Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons. The location will serve bar food like burgers and pizza, as well as craft beers.
While the two rock legends own the company, the project is being opened by franchisees Tony and Danny Yezbick. Tony also owns Fifth Avenue at 215 W Fifth Street in Royal Oak. What Now Detroit previously reached out to Tony as he was teasing the project, and now it is coming to fruition.
“Where classic rock meets the craft beer revolution,” says the description on their Facebook page.
Rock & Brews has been around since 2010, with almost 20 locations in the U.S. and Mexico. It was started in 2010 by Stanley and Simmons, and they have since decided to franchise across the country. Detroit is not the only market they plan on extending to these next few years.
The food and brews menus from other locations will transfer over to the new Royal Oak spot, with options like burgers, pizza and barbecue wings. The company highlights that they use fresh ingredients from the local communities they serve. Part of the draw is the many beers on tap, and the location will most likely have local craft brews as well.
The new Rock & Brews will be in the suburb’s downtown at the corner of S Center Street and W Fifth Avenue. Detroit Eatery is at this corner, as well as Club Christmas during the holidays. The official opening date is set for March 2.
