Locals of Dearborn are curious about a new pizza and burger spot opening in the area.

Fat Boy’s Pizza and Savvy Sliders are partnering to open a new joint restaurant at 23955 Michigan Avenue. The area will have a shared kitchen and offer takeout options. Partner of the franchise location Nizar Faraj told What Now Detroit the building is under construction and will open in January or February.

Savvy Sliders has locations all around Detroit, including locations like Plymouth, Southfield, Farmington Hills and Oak Park. Fat Boy’s Pizza is a Louisiana-based franchise, and the companies have decided to partner as both of their brands are popular options.

Faraj said the menu will feature all halal meat, for both the burgers and tenders at Savvy Siders and the wings offered by Fat Boys Pizza. The size of the pizzas are set to be 30 inches, some of the biggest pies in the area. The menu for Savvy Sliders is available on their website.

The inside will be an open space with seating. Along the side of the building is a drive-thru, and pizza ordered will be prepared in just minutes and served at the window.

Those in the area are excited about the new joint venture, and conversations about the restaurant have been happening online since this summer. It will be at the corner of Michigan Avenue and Telegraph Road, across the street from the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Dearborn SW. More information on the grand opening will be released soon.
