A new eatery is already planning to fill the space at 177 Vester Ave after Scout Vester’s recent closure. Dana Taucher, who owns Syndicate Ferndale across the street, announced on social media that she’d be taking over the Scout Vester’s space. This news was first seen on Fox2Detroit.
The establishment remained vacant for a long time after M-Brew closed in 2020, but was most recently occupied by Scout Vester, which opened this summer. According to Fox2Detroit, Scout Vester closed earlier this month due to struggling with sales.
“While I can’t reveal too much about what’s coming to 177 Vester, I can promise that our new spot will offer an approachable menu and bar designed to fill the space that’s been missing in our city,” Taucher wrote in the post, as shared by Fox2Detroit. “It will be a place where everyone feels welcome—a place to create new memories and connections, to enjoy great food, beverages and more!”
Taucher told Fox2Detroit that she hopes to open the new concept in spring, but that might change depending on how much time it takes to get the space ready. What Now Detroit reached out to Taucher for more details but hadn’t heard back by the time of this coverage.
