Syndicate owner Dana Taucher has a new restaurant to open in downtown Ferndale in place of Bobcat Bonnie’s.

It was reported by The Detroit News that Syndicate owner Dana Taucher is set to take over the lease of Bobcat Bonnie’s at 240 W Nine Mile Road. As of yesterday, Bobcat Bonnie’s was still open and selling various items, but Taucher will take over the space later this year. According to the article, she has not yet established a name for the restaurant.

This news comes after last year’s announcement of Smokehaus set to open by the end of the summer at 177 Vester Avenue. This is right across the street from her current restaurant Syndicate at 140 Vester. The restaurant is known for having a fine dining experience, with a seasonal menu and a bar.

It was first announced in early June that Bobcat Bonnie’s would be closing. Right next to the restaurant is May’s Bangkok Express, and it is also across the street from establishments including Spacecat V-stro and Sidecar Slide Bar.

While there has been no public announcement on the new venture, Taucher and her head chef Ross Flack are hard at work to open Smokehaus this summer.

What Now Detroit has reached out to the owner, and this article may be updated.
