A lean and clean burger experience is heading to the northwest outskirts of Detroit.
Patty & Press Smashburgers is set to open this summer in Bloomfield Hills at 42967 Woodward Ave., owners announced in a news release this week.
The new burger joint is the fourth undertaking of G&B Hospitality, a parent restaurant company owned by 30-year-old entrepreneurs Goran Dimic and Brandon Gorgies.
The pair launched Naked Burger in Clinton Township in 2017. The eatery specializes in gourmet burgers made from grass-fed beef and a curated list of “better-for-you” ingredients.
“We’re really excited to bring this new concept to the Bloomfield and metro Detroit communities,” Dimic said in the release. “Since the local success of Naked Burger, we’ve been dreaming and scheming of perfecting our version of the perfect smashburger, featuring only grass-fed beef, no seed oils and the best ingredients we can get our hands on.”
After opening a second Naked Burger in Rochester, Dimic and Gorgies took over operations last fall at Berkley Common, a popular gastropub in Oakland County.
Patty & Press will open seven days a week, offering its signature grass-fed steakburgers cooked with beef sourced from the Fairway Packing Company, a gourmet meat purveyor in Detroit. The menu will also feature hand-cut fries, salads, milkshakes, onion rings, truffled, fried chicken sandwiches, mozzarella sticks and fried mac and cheese.
The fast-casual will serve lunch and dinner inside a 2,200 square-foot eating space that seats 35.
“It will be an indulgent experience, but one that doesn’t leave you feeling heavy,” Dimic said.
