Owners of a coffee shop specializing in protein brews are bringing their first brick-and-mortar location to Grosse Pointe Park.
Two Dudes Mobile Coffee recently announced on social media their first permanent location will be opening at 15200 Charlevoix Street. This marks a milestone for the company that has been around since July of last year. Co-owner Alex Georgoulis told What Now Detroit there is not an opening date quite yet.
The mobile coffee shop was started by Georgoulis and his friend Logan, the event and marketing coordinator. The two have set up various pop-ups around Detroit, including at Vuori Clothing inside the Somerset Collection mall. They also have put up tents outdoors and serve Pilates classes.
“We specialize in protein espresso lattes and we are really excited to bring our pop-up energy to our first location,” said a recent social media post.
With their business model being protein coffees, they serve drinks like a peanut butter salted caramel protein latte, a lavender vanilla protein matcha and other specialty lattes. Double espressos and iced lattes are also offered. Those ordering also get the choice of adding vanilla, salted caramel, lavender and milk.
Georgoulis said this new location will be on the smaller side as it used to be a gas station, and they will utilize the outside space to have outdoor seating and host workout events. He and Logan found the location two weeks ago and thought it was “perfect” for their first shop.
The new address is on the north side of Grosse Pointe Park, close to the Howlers And Growlers restaurant on Charlevoix. Right now, the business is hiring for baristas. More information on the opening date can be found on their Instagram @twodudesmobilecoffee.
