Spring of 2024 the corner of Seven Mile Road and Livernois Avenue will be seeing the second location of The Kitchen by Cooking With Que come to life. The mainly plant-based joint is slated to open at 6321 West Seven Mile Road inside a new building housing high-end lofts as well as other shops.
Owner Quiana Broden was unavailable to make a comment on the new project when contacted by What Now Detroit on Friday.
The brick-and-mortar opened in 2015 at 6529 Woodward Avenue. The Kitchen by Cooking With Que is known for its fresh, plant-based cuisine. Broden is set to bring healthy plant-based foods to a part of Detroit that doesn’t have access to much other than typical fast-food joints, according to a write-up by Metro Times.
The new Cooking With Que location will be housed in a 1,900 square foot space, allowing for more guest seating and a larger kitchen than what is currently available at the original location. The new spot will have the same staple menu items along with a few additions. It will offer low-calorie champagne, vegan wines and a cocktail list, there will also be a mocktail list for non-drinkers.
The build-out is still underway and recently received a $50,000 grant from Motor City Match.
