After its massive success in Illinois, Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurant is building a new restaurant in Michigan at 2101 Lake Lansing Road, near Lansing’s Eastwood Towne Center. The location has just received approval from Lansing Township’s Board of Trustees. While no detailed information has been announced, the construction will likely begin in the spring of 2024.

Cooper’s Hawk is an Illinois-based winery and restaurant chain. Branded as an “upscale casual restaurant,” Cooper’s Hawk has extensive wine programming, including monthly wine club dinners and wine of the month selects. To fully incorporate wine into the dining experience, the company’s menu always comes with pairing recommendations labeled as bin numbers next to the menu item.

Currently, Cooper’s Hawk operates over 60 locations across 11 states, including Kentwood, Clinton Township, and Troy. The Lansing location will be its fourth restaurant in Michigan. The new Cooper’s Hawk will take over a 10,000 sqft building with 170 parking spaces. The restaurant will incorporate a dining area, a tasting room, and a retail storefront carrying “decanters, wine accessories, a proprietary gourmet food line and a selection of curated seasonal gifts,” according to the company’s website.

At the time of this coverage, Cooper’s Hawk did not respond to What Now Detroit’s request for comments.
