Pearland is about to get a little sweeter. 85°C Bakery Cafe, the well-known Taiwanese bakery and cafe chain, has confirmed plans to open a new corporate-owned location at 7407 Broadway St #191, Pearland, TX 77581. This will be the brand’s fifth location in the Houston metro area.
Vivian Shin, Senior Project Manager at 85°C Bakery Cafe, confirmed that the upcoming Pearland spot will join their growing list of company-owned cafes in Texas. The news follows a recent opening elsewhere in Houston, as the brand continues to expand its presence in the region.
Known for its made-to-order drinks and freshly baked pastries, the cafe offers a different experience than your typical coffee shop. “Each cup of coffee is individually brewed with Guatemalan coffee beans for a smooth, rich taste,” a brand representative shared. “All of our drinks are handcrafted and made to order. Each store features an in-shop bakery with over 50 varieties of pastries baked fresh hourly. Our gourmet cakes are uniquely crafted by our award-winning master chefs.”
According to city permit records, the project involves a full interior renovation of a 3,010-square-foot space, with an estimated investment of $750,000. The build is classified as a tenant improvement and marks another step in 85°C’s steady growth throughout Texas.
Construction is set to begin in October 2025, with a projected completion date in January 2026.
