Houston’s favorite Jenni’s Noodle House will close this October after 15 years of serving its signature Vietnamese fare. The restaurant’s final day of service will be October 26.
Jenni’s Noodle House is Closing Its Heights Location
The Heights location at 602 E 20th St will close on October 26, marking the end of a 15-year run for the Houston-based Vietnamese comfort food spot.
Owners Jenni and Scott Tran-Weaver opened the first Jenni’s Noodle House in 2002, introducing Houston diners to a fast-casual take on Vietnamese comfort food.
The restaurant’s Heights location, which opened in 2010 inside a former Mrs. Baird’s bread store, quickly became a neighborhood favorite. The spot offered a relaxed, family-friendly setting complete with a kids’ menu and playground.
Gratitude For The Community and a Final Meal
Through an Instagram reel, the Tran-Weavers shared that they had decided to close their restaurant after their lease expired. “If you live in that area and you want Jenni’s Noodle House, you can come to the Shepherd location and order online,” Scott said, further announcing that the Shepherd store will extend its hours and stay open until 12:15 AM for five nights. Jenni thanked the Heights community for its support over the past 15 years.
The Heights closure marks the end of a long-running local favorite known for its comforting noodle bowls and loyal following.
Jenni’s Noodle House leaves a lasting mark on Houston’s dining scene. The Shepherd location will remain open, continuing the restaurant’s legacy of Vietnamese comfort food.
