Aga’s is embarking on the next chapter of the local institution. According to a recently filed permit, Aga’s is planning to open a take-out restaurant in Katy at the Grand Crossing Retail Center. The permit details that the Indian-Pakistani eatery will open its next location at 102 W Grand Parkway S, Ste 100.
Construction on the Grand Parkway Aga’s is set to start at the end of this month and wrap up at the end of March 2026.
Shaukat Maredia runs the establishment with Zain Maredia. What Now Houston briefly spoke with the two about the upcoming opening. The Maredias confirmed that there will be an Aga’s coming to Grand Parkway in Katy, but were unable to share more details by the time of this publication.
Aga’s was opened in 2001 and bought by the Maredia family in 2011. The widely loved Indian-Pakistani eatery specializes in %100 Zabiha Halal.
“We serve fresh and delicious vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes. From grilled goat chops to biryanis to sizzling BBQ platters and curries, experience Houston’s best Indian and Pakistani cuisine at Aga’s,” the website reads.
Aga’s world-famous grilled goat chops are the highlight of the menu.
The restaurant has grown quite a following since the Maredia family took hold of the brand. Aga’s is considered a top South Asian dining destination in the Greater Houston area.
It appears that the new location will be a smaller quick-service eatery. The new building will stand at a whopping 4,227 square feet once completed.
Aga’s is expected to open in Katy at the Grand Crossing Retail Center at 102 W Grand Parkway S, Ste 100, this spring.
