A new restaurant concept from Berg Hospitality Group is planned for Houston’s Autry Park. Annabelle will be a brasserie with a lively ambiance overlooking Buffalo Bayou.

“I’ve always loved French brasserie food, and I felt it’s a market that was lacking a little bit. It’s one of my favorite foods,” said Benjamin Berg, CEO of Berg Hospitality. Berg told What Now Houston that Annabelle will serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. “I really wanted to bring that to life.”

Berg is excited to be connected to Autry Park. “Plus, what Hanover is doing with all the green space inside the development, I think it’s pretty special for Houston,” Berg said.

“It’s been an area that hasn’t been touched by Houston in a while. And, the development and partnership with Hanover and what they’re doing to it, their whole master design, I love the fact that between them and the city, they’re connecting it to the Buffalo Bayou,” he continued.

“Especially with Annabelle, they have the opportunity to literally come from the bayou on their bikes or their walks and come straight into the development, which is unique for Houston.” Annabelle could open at 911 Shepherd Dr. in Houston in the spring of 2023. Berg and local architect Isaac Preminger are designing the nearly 6,000-square-foot space, which will feature antique pieces and exciting elements.

Autry Park is a 14-acre mixed-use development along the Allen Parkway at Shepherd Drive on the western edge of Buffalo Bayou Park. According to the Autry Park website, project partners include Hanover Company, Lionstone Investments, and Rebees.
