A new pizza place that focuses on innovative and unique toppings is set to open another location in Houston. Zalat Pizza offers traditional pizzas such as cheese, pepperoni, sausage, and the Zealot, which is a supreme, but the menu also boasts pies topped with a mixture of fun flavors.
For example, Sweet Revenge is topped with bacon and onion jam, hot honey, mozzarella, salami, and fresh basil. Other pizzas include Buffalo Chicken, Nashville Hot Chicken and Pickles, and Elote, and salads are also an option. Several sauces for dipping are offered such as Srirancha, Marinara, and Blue Cheese Ranch. Zalat Pizza also provides vegan and gluten-free options.
According to leasing intel obtained by What Now Houston, the new Zalat Pizza will be located at 10001 Westheimer Rd. in Houston. The 1,600-square-foot space will undergo some renovations and could open in early 2023, according to a project filing.
Zalat Pizza has about half a dozen locations currently in operation in the Houston area. In 2015, founder Khanh Nguyen first opened Zalat Pizza in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, where it has about 20 restaurants.
