Bohemian Bull, the growing franchise known for its laid-back Southern vibe, gourmet burgers, and local beer pairings, is officially headed to the Greater Houston area. Co-franchisee Ramiro Roel has secured a lease for the first area location at 2115 Rayford Rd Ste 100 in Spring.
Roel, whose background spans both energy engineering and family-run food ventures, began exploring franchise opportunities in 2020 using detailed analytics to guide his search. “The business plan during our first meeting sold me, and I felt the Houston area was starving for something like this,” he said. “It was a no brainer.” Despite tough competition and a long, obstacle-filled process, Roel remained committed to bringing Bohemian Bull to the region.
Backed by a team effort, this location will be a true family affair. Roel’s sister will co-lead the franchise with operational support from his wife, while he manages the business and financial side. “Competition is fierce,” Roel noted, but emphasized that this Spring location is just the beginning. Additional markets including Fulshear, The Woodlands, Cypress, and Friendswood are already being scouted, with freestanding sites under consideration.
Chad Biel, owner of Bohemian Bull, sees Houston as a natural fit for the brand’s continued growth. “We felt this was a really good market for our brand,” Biel shared. Once the Spring location opens, it will mark the ninth unit nationwide. “We feel it is a menu that works in all the markets we are in right now, so no changes as of now.”
Houston’s first Bohemian Bull is expected to open in September or October 2025.
