Bourbon Street Sports Bar in Katy is gearing up for a small-scale renovation aimed at improving safety systems without altering the customer experience. The bar, located at 803 S Mason Rd Ste 410, will soon begin work on installing a new sprinkler system along with a dedicated riser room.

Owner Douglas Stockel confirmed the update, explaining that the project is focused solely on infrastructure. According to Stockel, the work involves adding a new waterline, which requires the riser room, but there are no other planned changes to the space at this time. Guests can expect the same look, feel, and menu they have come to enjoy once the work is complete.

The renovation covers approximately 7,773 square feet and is part of a permit filed with the city. While it may not bring visible changes to the dining or bar areas, the project ensures the building meets updated safety standards and prepares the property for long-term operation.

Work at Bourbon Street Sports Bar is scheduled to begin in September 2025, with completion targeted for November 2025.
