Brisket & Rice is gearing up for a major relocation to 6166 Hwy 6 N, which will be a larger space to accommodate their growing demand. Co-Owners and brothers Hong and Phong Tran see the transition as a necessary step to elevate their customer experience in providing their smoked meats and Southeast Asian flavors to fans.
“We outgrew our current space, and parking was becoming an issue,” Hong told What Now Houston. While the interior of the new location will be similar in size to its current spot, it will feature a large patio about equal to the indoor dining area, along with significantly more parking for patrons, making it more accessible.
In addition to the expanded seating, the move will allow major operational improvements. Two additional 1,000-gallon smokers are being built, which will triple the restaurant’s food capacity to reduce the risk of running out of their more popular items. The new location will also introduce an extended menu with items that will be rolling out over time, and the brothers plan to offer beer and wine down the line once they’re more settled into their new home. Brisket & Rice will likely extend its hours to cater to a later dinner crowd as well.
While the exact opening date is dependent on permitting, the co-owners are targeting an April 2025 re-opening.
