Brooklyn Pizzeria heard your calls, and now the Houston pizza brand is embarking on opening a Kingwood location. The 11th addition to the Brooklyn Pizzeria family is expected to open in The Shoppes at Kingstate at 1345 Kingwood Drive, according to a recently filed state permit.

The permit further details that construction on the new Brooklyn Pizzeria started at the beginning of the year and is slated to wrap up by the end of March 2026.

An Instagram post announcing the location confirms that the new Brooklyn Pizzeria will deliver to all of Kingwood and Porter, and be convenient for Valley Ranch, New Caney, and Splendora customers. The new eatery will live at the Kingwood Drive address next to Five Below, where Gatti’s Pizza once stood.

“We’re still proudly family-owned and operated, committed to the same quality ingredients and recipes you’ve loved for two decades – always at fair prices. Because great food shouldn’t cost a fortune,” the post reads.

Alban Shahini is the owner of the family-run Brooklyn Pizzeria chain, bringing authentic New York-style pizza to Texas after his family moved from Brooklyn in 2005-2006. What Now Houston reached out to Shahini to find out more details about the Kingwood opening, but did not hear back by the time of this publication.

What started in 2006 in Humble has grown to numerous Brooklyn Pizzeria locations across the Houston area, including Cypress, Kingwood, and Pearland.

“Over the past 15 years, we have followed our original mission: Treat each one of our customers as our own family, and to never compromise on the quality of the food, or the cleanliness of our restaurants,” the website reads.

“Born and raised in New York, and with over 30 years of experience in the pizza business, Brooklyn Pizzeria only serves 100% authentic New York-style food.”

The local pizzeria chain cooks up, slices, and dishes out a variety of pizzas. Brooklyn Pizzeria, of course, has a Brooklyn Special with extra mozzarella, pepperoni, hamburger, Canadian bacon, mushroom, onion, olives, and bell pepper. The pizza list also includes a Truffle FunghiMeat Lovers, and Tuscan pizza, just to name a few. In addition, Brookly Pizzeria also offers a multitude of pastas, subs, calzones, and more.

Excitement about the Kingwood Brooklyn Pizzeria opening is already mounting! Although no official opening or grand opening date has been shared, interested parties and Brooklyn Pizzeria lovers can rest assured knowing that the Kingwood Brooklyn Pizzeria is expected to open in The Shoppes at Kingstate at 1345 Kingwood Drive by Spring 2026.
