Dragon Tea & Scoops is a new drink spot set to come to the Landing at Northpark in Spring 2026. According to a state permit, the new bubble tea shop will open at 300 Northpark Dr., Suite 450, in 2026.
The permit further details that construction on Boba Tea started this past November and is slated to wrap up in mid-April 2026. The 1,200 square-foot project will cost an estimated $65,000 to complete.
While Ashraful Haque is listed on the permit as the tenant of the soon-to-open establishment, in a conversation with What Now Houston, Haque shared that Bahama Mama’s Samir Hasan. What Now Houston briefly spoke with Hasan about Boba Tea. Hasan confirmed that the new tea shop will open in 2026, but was not able to share further details by the time of this publication.
“Dragon Tea & Scoops is designed to be a welcoming space where bold flavors meet quality ingredients,” Hasan shared via email.
The shop will offer a wide variety of specialty teas, including milk teas, fruit teas, and refreshing blends crafted to satisfy every taste. Alongside its signature drinks, customers will be able to enjoy delicious scoops of ice cream—perfect for families, friends, and anyone looking for a sweet treat.
“With a focus on quality, consistency, and friendly service, Dragon Tea & Scoops aims to become a favorite neighborhood spot. Whether stopping in for a quick refreshment, a casual hangout, or a dessert break, guests can look forward to a comfortable atmosphere and great flavors,” Hasan said.
Boba tea, also known as bubble tea for the chewy tapioca balls inside the drink, is a tea-based drink with milk and flavouring. It originated in Taiwan in the 89s and has become very popular in the US over the last decade.
Boba Tea spots continue to pop up all over Texas, and especially in Houston, so Boba Tea will have some competition. But the new Boba Tea sits in a shopping center that is bustling with people, dining and shopping options, and more.
Conveniently located on Northpark Drive in the heart of Kingwood, Dragon Tea & Scoops looks forward to serving the local community and creating memorable experiences—one cup and one scoop at a time.
