Eataly is set to debut in Houston at the Galleria-area retail plaza. The huge Italian food hall brand is expected to open at 5000 Westheimer Road, LOD Space 15, according to a recent state filing.
The permit also shows that construction on the new Eataly is expected to start in January of next year and wrap up by the end of September 2026. If all goes well, Houstonians can enjoy Eataly and all the gourmet deliciousness it has to offer by October 2026.
The Houston Business Journal reports that this new Eataly at the Centre at Post Oak will be the second one in Texas, with the first one in The Lone Star State in Dallas in 2o20.
The large-scale Italian marketplace is known for offering retail shopping with restaurants and food counters to encaspualte its “eat, shop, learn concept. This concept for the multifunctional market and eatery was formed by Oscar Farinetti in 2007. The company opened its first location in Turin, Italy, in 2007 and never looked back.
Eataly is now in multiple countries and a multitude of cities in the United States, including Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Boston, Chicago, and New York City.
Eataly’s Santina Vaccaro is helping get the 20,050 square-foot location that is expected to open in the Galleria-area retail plaza up and running. Vaccaro submitted the permit. What Now Houston reached out to Vaccaro and the Vice President of Hospitality at Eataly, Luca Vesnaver, for comment on the new and exciting opening, but did not hear back by the time of publication.
The new Eataly at the Galleria-area retail plaza, which is expected to open at 5000 Westheimer Road, LOD Space 15, in the fall of 2026, is expected to have many of the offerings you see at its other locations.
