When one restaurant door closes, another opens with a sizzle and a delectable aroma. Austin Yates, a seasoned restaurateur, is reimagining diner food with a flavorful experience with his latest concept, TMG Burger Grill. It is set to take over shuttered Willy Burger at 6193 Hwy Blvd, Katy, TX 77494.

Having owned and operated Texas Mesquite Grill for nine prosperous years, Yates is no stranger to the Texas culinary scene. Now, in a strategic move, he’s venturing into a fresh new territory. And this won’t be just any burger place. “It’s going to be a like a Happy Days diner burger joint, with a 70’s and 80s kind of feel,” Yates told What Now Houston.

But don’t expect just your standard diner fare here. TMG Burger Grill promises a culinary experience that goes beyond. Customers will receive fresh cut fries, fresh ground burgers, and a menu full of your typical diner favorites, but with an elevated sense. Anyone seeking a bit more outside of the box, the menu will include items such a fish tacos and many others served from the kitchen.

For those early weekend risers, they’ll be privy to the Saturday and Sunday breakfast menu offerings, making it a go-to weekend spot for families, friends, and foodies in Katy.

While the official TMG Burger Grill website is currently under construction, eager patrons can keep an eye on tmgburgergrill.com for updates. Social media channels are also in the pipeline, ensuring fans will soon have ample ways to stay connected.

An opening time frame has been set for mid-November to early-December 2023.
