A new bakery and coffee shop is heading to Sugar Land courtesy of Galeto & Sweets Inc., which has plans for a sizable new buildout inside the shopping center at 14021 Southwest Fwy, Suite 409. The upcoming space is being developed by Owner Omer Baday, who confirmed the project but noted that full details are still under wraps for now.
According to public records, the shop will span 5,500 square feet and is being developed with an estimated construction cost of $450,000. Permitting documents show the work is being privately funded and classified as a full remodel and build-out, turning the space into what appears to be a polished, standalone bakery and coffee destination.
While the name “Galeto & Sweets” may suggest a dual offering of savory and sweet, there is no confirmed menu, branding, or design concept publicly released at this time. Baday simply confirmed the project is moving forward and that further updates will be shared once the team is ready.
Work is scheduled to begin in July 2025 with completion targeted for September 2025.
