Cigars International is expanding into the Houston market with two new Superstores planned to open in early 2023.

“The Cigars International Superstores feature expansive, glass-encased, walk-in humidors, indoor cocktail bars and comfortable leather seating for a true cigar shop feel, plus sweeping outdoor patios with multiple firepits, rocking chairs and bars serving adult beverages,” said Dan Edwards, Vice President of Retail for Cigars International, in an email with What Now Houston. No food will be served.
Cigars International Superstores are stocked with a selection of cigars and accessories. “This, coupled with expansive physical spaces which are outfitted with seating nooks for intimate conversations, encourage the mentorship and congeniality that are the hallmarks of tried-and-true cigar lounges,” Edwards said.
The stores will be staffed with highly-trained cigar experts to enhance the guests’ experience. “Within a Cigars International Superstore, a consumer can receive insights and recommendations from our engaging and educated staff, and they can enjoy a cigar and beverage in a relaxing environment that has a state-of-the-art ventilation system,” Edwards said.
“We designed the stores to be equally as welcoming for non-smokers as they are for smokers and that’s where we excel at Cigars International, in creating a welcoming atmosphere for all of our guests.”
Edwards said Houston is a dynamic and thriving metro area with a vibrant cigar community, so it’s a perfect location for Cigars International Superstores. “Our stores in Dallas actually helped drive the Houston locations because many cigar enthusiasts in Houston reached out to us and asked us to come to their town. All of this on top of the fact that we love Texas—the state is very pro-business and has been great to us.”
