New Additions That Reimagine the Space
Guests walking into the newly remodeled Truluck’s are greeted by a Mediterranean-inspired atmosphere. The soaring olive trees add to the leisurely backdrop of the main dining room, accented by the piano key tile floors. The marble-inspired finishes and supple leather booths add to this sleek charm.
The remodel also introduced the TRU Dining Room, a semi-private space that seats up to 56 guests. It can accommodate up to 56 guests at a time, partitioned by movable screens. This brings an intimate setting to the area for the special, private occasion.
At the bar, overhead chandeliers and smaller olive trees create a refreshed, cohesive atmosphere. Featuring a modern yet familiar design, the bar is welcoming to both regulars and first-time guests. Dallas-based designer Bruce Russo led this transformation. Meanwhile, Houston’s Tanner Construction brought his designs to life.
Iconic Specials Combine with New Culinary Highlights
Truluck’s has been synonymous with pristine seafood, prime steaks, and impeccable hospitality since its debut in 1992. The Florida stone crab has been the crown jewel of its menu, with the Norwegian Salmon, Chilean Seabass, and Texas Redfish following right behind. Hand-cut prime steaks, which rival those at the city’s top steakhouses, have long been a menu highlight.
However, this renovation also brings something special to guests seeking variety. A first in Houston, sushi joins the Truluck’s menu. Also new to the menu are petite entrées and South African cold-water lobster.
Truluck’s sources South Coast rock lobster through Ruwekus, one of only three operators worldwide licensed to fish off South Africa’s South Coast.
While Truluck’s continues to bring the best to the table, the three-course Prime Rib Sunday menu is worth checking out. It includes options across starters, entrees, and dessert categories available all day for $59. The menu features a slow-roasted 14-oz. Prime Rib, served with starter and dessert options.
For beverages, the restaurant offers more than 40 wines by the glass, playful cocktails, and zero-proof options. Signature happy hour pairings, priced at $25, strike a balance between indulgence and value.
Truluck’s is ready for its next chapter with its refreshed design and expanded menu. With its refreshed design and expanded offerings, Truluck’s is ready to welcome both loyal regulars and a new wave of diners to Uptown Houston.
