A new restaurant is on its way to Houston’s Northside, as Johnny Ritas is confirmed for 5602 Fulton St. The upcoming eatery is led by Owner Chico Ramirez, but beyond its name and location, little has been revealed about what diners can expect.

According to a permit on file, the conversion of an existing retail space into a restaurant will result in 2,062 square feet for the new restaurant. The estimated cost for the current project renovations is set at $125,000 renovation.

Ramirez has yet to release additional details about the venture, but as construction progresses, more information is likely to to come to light. With “Ritas” in the name, however, speculations are that there will be a margarita aspect to the concept in some way or form.

It is slated to begin in February 2025 with a completion set for January 2027. A timeline with this length for development shows that Ramirez and his team will have plenty of time to ensure that, when the doors open, the brand is well thought out and more than ready to greet guests with an exciting new twist of their own design, whatever it ends up being.
