It has been confirmed that Wanpo Tea Shop will be going in at 23015 Colonial Pkwy a106, Katy, TX 77493.
Wanpo Tea Shop boasts of being tea connoisseurs using Taiwanese traditions of tea making with great care and only the finest ingredients. The brand’s bubbles are made with pure, natural tapioca with no added preservatives. Aiyu jelly, grass jelly, lemon, kumquat, and grapefruit are their highlighted flavors for their freshly-served drink selections.
Franchise Owner YingHui Zhang was unavailable for comment, but a spokesperson told What Now Houston, “We visited a lot of tea shops and liked that it was a new brand, and we felt it would work well in this area, especially in Katy.” When asked about any changes to the restaurant since being a franchise they said, “Actually, we want to get a little bit of dessert. It is still being discussed though.”
The space is 1871 square feet and with a capacity holding “30 to 40” people. According to the permit on file with the city, this is a new construction build-out of the first-time leased space that’s estimated to cost $140,325.
At current there is no opening time frame due to construction and additional permitting.
