Houston’s beloved barbecue destination, Killen’s Barbecue, is preparing to takeoff with a brand-new location at William P. Hobby Airport. The announcement came directly from acclaimed pitmaster and Owner Ronnie Killen, who shared the news via Facebook.

The airport location, which will bring Killen’s Barbecue’s signature smoked brisket, ribs, and sausage to travelers passing through 7800 Airport Blvd Gate 40, marks another high-profile expansion for the Killen’s brand. Known for blending classic Texas-style barbecue with culinary expertise, the addition to the airport is poised to satisfy both locals and visitors alike as they are traveling to and from their destinations.

No additional details have been released as of this publishing, but it is anticipated as the doors opening gets closer, more will be revealed. In the meantime, barbecue fans can look forward to a smoky welcome the next time they fly through Houston this Summer.

Killen’s Facebook post stated that the official opening date is set for June 16, 2025.
