Kilwins is embarking on a plan to spread its sweet, chocolately treats through the Greater Houston and Galveston regions over the next years. The first of 13 planned new stores is expected to open in Houston in 2026.

No word just yet on when and where exactly. What Now Houston reached out to Kilwins president and CEO, Brian Britton, to find out details about the new opening, but did not hear back by the time of this publication. What Now Houston also reached out to franchise developer Brian Ongnian to find out who will be at the helm of the local creamery, but did not hear back by the time of publication. It is likely that there is no franchisee selected at this time, as the development of the new stores is in the preliminary stages.

Nonetheless, you can expect the same high-quality sweet perfection that Kilwins is known for to be the crux of the new openings set to come to Houston next year.

“Since 1947, Kilwins has been a celebrated part of Americana, having earned a reputation for providing high-quality chocolates, ice cream, & confections combined with excellent service,” the website reads.

Don and Katy Kilwin are the founders of the booming sweet shop brand, and the process the couple instilled to create new and unique blends of chocolate continues to this day, according to the website.

Besides chocolate, Kilwins offers Kilwins Original Recipe Ice Cream.

“Our ice cream is super-premium with a creamy consistency and a delicious, rich texture. Kilwins Original Recipe Ice Cream is a rich, high-quality treat!” the website reads.

Offering a variety of flavors, toppings, and sizes, there’s a little bit of something for everyone at Kilwins.

Remember, the Texas Kilwins expansion continues with the first of 13 planned stores to hit Houston in 2026.
