Lin’s Grand Buffet Restaurant is continuing to make its mark on the Greater Houston area with the opening of not one but two locations in the next two years.

According to the permit filed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, the Chinese and American fusion eatery is scheduled to open at 3301 E. Sam Houston Parkway S. in February 2027. But first, the buffet will open a location at 5402 Highway 6 N. in January of next year

Lin’s Grand Buffet Restaurant co-owner, Eric Chen, told What Now Houston that he and partner, Jerry Wang, intend to have a soft opening at the new Highway 6 location in December with a grand opening set for January 2026.

“We’re very excited to grow our business in the Houston area. We look forward to bringing our customers a selection of dishes that they will love and remember,” Chen said.

That selection will be slightly less than what Lin’s Garden Buffet Restaurant currently offers at its 4511 Cypress Park location, which was the first to open in Houston. Standing at a whopping 11,000 square feet, the Chinese buffet offers more than a hundred items.

Chen said the new location, near Copperfield in Houston, is 8,800 square feet. Renovations are currently underway to transform the former Julia’s Mexican Restaurant, which closed in September last year, into Lin’s Grand Buffet Restaurant’s signature buffet-style dining experience.

“The buffet table is still the same. But there will be different decorations this time. We minimized a little bit to accommodate the space,” Chen said.

While Chen didn’t share what dishes the eatery would take off the menu, you can expect the same blend of Chinese, American, and Mongolian flavors the buffet is known for. The extensive menu includes a multitude of dishes. Barbecue ribs, sushi, seafood, a Mongolian Grill, and a whole host of other delectables that could make this list could go on forever.

Chen and Wang recently opened a location in California and are now preparing to open yet another location, besides the Highway 6 location, in the greater Houston area.

Lin’s Garden Buffet Restaurant will open its third location in Harris County in the Pasadena area, right outside of Houston, at 5402 Highway 6 N. in January 2027. Chen confirmed that construction will start at this location early next year. He also said that this Deer Park location near Baytown will have slightly more food than at Lin’s Garden on Highway 6, but not as much as the 4511 Cypress Park location. Keep your eyes peeled on the What Now Houston website for the latest on this new edition.
