Michael and Ashley Cordray, the husband-and-wife team behind Local Dogs, are expanding their culinary vision to a new location at 1325 39th St in Galveston, TX. With their signature focus on quality and community, the new space promises to be a welcoming spot for locals and visitors alike, adding another layer to the vibrant food scene of Galveston.
According to city permits, the Cordrays are investing $125,000 in the renovation and alteration of an existing 3,500-square-foot structure. The work includes transforming the space into a fully equipped food service establishment.
The Cordrays are no strangers to breathing new life into historic properties, known for their work in home restoration and community revitalization. The couple now are expanding into the food industry and ready for a successful venture into the field.
As Galveston’s food scene continues to grow, the Cordrays’ newest project reflects their dedication to blending culinary creativity with a love for the city’s unique character. Details about the menu and opening-day plans are expected to be announced closer to the completion date.
Construction is expected to begin sometime in December 2024, with completion slated for May 2025.
