Christopher Lav, Owner of Lovam Restaurant Group, will soon open the group’s fifth location of Rakkan Ramen to be located at 1717 Post Oak Blvd b.

Rakkan Ramen first began in Tokyo in 2011 before eventually spreading in 2017 to Los Angeles. The restaurant’s menu offers a plethora of options and is made with 100% plant-based broth while offering three noodle choices. They boast of also using top-quality fermented seasons in their dishes.

Lovam Restaurant Group is family-run with their headquarters in The Bayou City. It operates five concepts to include Pokeworks Fresh Hawaiian Kitchen, Charley’s Philly Steaks, Rakkan Ramen House, and Hartz Chicken Buffet, according to the group’s linkedin.

This newest location will have an expanded bar to include full liquor service compared to the usual beer and wine offerings, and will keep to the standard menu. The space will be 1856 square feet with a construction cost of $200,000, according to the permit on file with the city.

Expected opening time frame is set for end of 2023.
