Luiza Coffee Shop is a proudly family-run business that’s embarking on opening its first cafe in the Greater Houston region this year. According to a recently filed permit, Luiza Coffee Shop is gearing up to open at 413 N Tumberry Lane in Brookshire.

The permit details the $200,000 construction project on the nearly 1600 square-foot cafe is expected to start in March and is slated to wrap up in July of this year.

“We are planning to open in the coming months, once all final permits and preparations are completed,” Luiza Coffee Shop co-owner, Luz Marino, said to What Now Houston via email.

“We want to make sure everything is perfect before welcoming our neighbors.”

The new coffee shop will open in good company. Nearby restaurants include Midway BBQ, Parri’s Diner, and Urban Bird Hot Chicken.

“We chose this location because we love the neighborhood and saw a need for a cozy, welcoming space where people can gather, work, meet friends, and feel at home,” Marino said.

“We want to be part of the community’s daily life.”

Luiza Coffee Shop is a “dream come true” for Luz and her family.

The menu will feature high-quality specialty coffee, espresso drinks, handcrafted lattes, teas, and fresh baked goods. There’s also a plan to offer light breakfast and brunch-style options.

“One of our highlight items will be our signature handcrafted lattes and our house specialty coffee,” Marino said.

“We’re especially excited about offering unique seasonal flavors that bring something special to each visit.”

Though Luiza Coffee Shop doesn’t yet have an online presence with no listed website or social media pages, we’re sure you’re going to hear more about this new cafe.

“We hope every guest leaves with more than just great coffee — we want them to leave feeling welcomed, appreciated, and connected. Our goal is to create a place that feels like an extension of home,” Marino said.

“We are incredibly grateful for the warm support we’ve already received. Our vision is to build not just a coffee shop, but a community space where relationships grow, conversations flow, and everyone feels welcome. We can’t wait to open our doors and serve you.”

Luiza Coffee Shop is set to open at 413 N Tumberry Lane in Brookshire by the summer.
