Mambo Seafood is set to open a brand-new location at 7728 Farm to Market 1960 Rd W, taking over the shuttered TGI Friday’s that closed last year. This expansion is part of the brand’s ongoing efforts to bring its fresh seafood and signature dishes to even more Houstonians.
“Mambo Seafood has always been a Houston original, and as the city continues to grow, we’re committed to growing with it, ensuring more convenience for our loyal guests,” CEO Nuno Lima told What Now Houston. The new restaurant, spanning 7,000 square feet, according to a permit on file, will maintain the same experience that has made Mambo Seafood a local favorite.
Guests can expect the same menu offerings they’ve come to know and love, including the restaurant’s Famous Mambo Rice, Empanadas, and its variety of fresh seafood options. According to Lima, “There won’t be any changes to our menu or service offerings—guests can expect the same great flavors and experience they know and love.”
The Willowbrook location is slated to open in May 2025, further cementing Mambo Seafood’s presence in the Houston Metro. As the brand continues its expansion efforts, this latest addition reaffirms its dedication to quality seafood, bold flavors, and a vibrant dining experience for both longtime fans and new visitors alike.
