Whopy Cooky will soon offer delicious, warm cookies, brownies, and more to customers in Katy. Owner Pedro Yacoub told What Now Houston they are still waiting on electricity and inspections, but they hope to open before the end of the year or in early 2023.
Whopy Cooky will be located at 360 S. Mason Rd. in Katy. This will be the first storefront for Yacoub, who is from Venezuela but has been living in Katy for four years. Yacoub said they started baking cookies at home until they discovered the perfect formula. “We decided that the flavor and texture was awesome,” Yacoub said in an email.
“Some friends came to our home to try our cookies, and they loved it,” Yacoub continued. Others, including children on their son’s baseball team, began asking for their cookies. “So, I said, ‘let’s open our own cookie store,’ and here we are with our first Whopy Cooky store.”
Whopy Cooky will serve individual cookies, brownies, dips, and cookie sandwiches. Party packs will also be available for catering. Some flavors include chocolate chip, peanut butter-filled, Nutella, cookies and cream, and cheesecake. Gluten-free cookies will also be available.
