P Terry’s Burger Stand is opening its fifth location in Houston, this one will be inside Houston’s Interstate 610 Loop. According to the Houston Business Journal, P. Terry’s Burger Stand will open its doors at 4815 Katy Freeway, on the corner of Durham Drive, north of the Washington Avenue corridor, and south of the Heights.
A recently filed permit with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation shows that construction on the new burger joint is slated to start in October of next year and wrap up by the end of May the following year. P. Terry’s Burger Stand is also expected to open a location in the H-E-B at the Baybrook East shopping center in the Clear Lake area in early 2027. If everything goes P Terry’s Burger Stand on Katy will be the fifth location, opening around June 2027 or sometime in the summer of 2027, and the burger spot in the Baybrook East shopping center will be the sixth location.
The first P Terry’s in the Houston area opened in October of 2024. The fast-growing burger chain opened its first P. Terry’s on July 5th, 2005, at the corner of South Lamar and Barton Springs in Austin, Texas, according to its website. Coming from the dynamic husband and wife duo, Kathy and Patrick Terry, P. Terry’s Burger Stands is inspired by classic burger stands of the ‘50s and ‘60s.
Now celebrating its 25th anniversary, the Terry’s and their burger stand continue to provide that genuine small-town hospitality and serve up iconic hand-spun shakes, 100% black angus beef burgers, fresh hand-cut fries, and homemade baked goods.
Monty Montgomery, P. Terry’s Senior Vice President, helps keep the brand afloat. What Now Houston reached out to Montgomery for comment, but did not hear back by the time of publication.
The new location is expected to be drive-thru only.
But if all goes according to plan, you can hear and possibly smell the buzz around the new burger eatery when P. Terry’s Burger Stand opens its fifth location in the Houston area at 4815 Katy Freeway in the summer of 2027.
