Panda Express is headed to Richmond. That’s according to a recent project filing, which lists the new fast-casual Chinese restaurant chain at 4837 Waterview Meadow Dr. in Richmond.

Diners could begin enjoying dishes crafted with quality ingredients that are inspired by Chinese flavors and culinary principles in late 2023 or early 2024. Each bowl and plate available includes a variety of side and protein options.

Guests interested in devouring a bowl can select a side of chow mein, vegetables, or fried, steamed, or brown rice. Proteins are then added and include Black Pepper Angus Steak, Kung Pao Chicken, and Honey Walnut Shrimp. For the plate option, diners can enjoy a side or half and half, plus two entree protein choices. Egg rolls, spring rolls, or cream cheese rangoons can be added to any meal.

Construction could begin on the 2,600-square-foot ground-up restaurant in Richmond in late spring with a planned completion date set for late 2023. Panda Express has more than 300 locations across the Lone Star State with more than 60 of those in operation across the Houston area.

Panda Express is a family-owned and operated Asian dining concept founded by Andrew and Peggy Cherng in California in 1983. Panda Restaurant Group is the parent company of Panda Express, which now has more than 2,300 locations.
