Arizona-based Salad and Go will soon open a new location in Richmond this summer. This will be the fast salad chain’s first restaurant in the Greater Houston Area. The new location is being built from the ground up and is expected to open in August, according to real estate intel. It will be located at the corner of W Bellfort Street and Harlem Road in the Waterview Town Center shopping complex.
Salad and Go serves gourmet salads, wraps, soups, breakfast burritos, and drinks. Their salads and wraps are customizable with chicken or tofu and are priced beneath $6. Drinks include flavored lemonades, teas, and cold brew and cost $1.
Salad and Go originally opened in 2013 as an organic, ready-to-eat, and affordable alternative to fast food standards. The chain seeks to serve nutritious, fresh, and chef-curated foods from the comfort and convenience of a drive through. They offset the higher cost of their food items by keeping their footprint small. Most locations are between 650-700 square feet and only offer drive through service.
Since 2016, the chain has increased tenfold throughout the Southwest. Furthermore, the chain tripled its store locations between 2019 – 2021. Salad and Go plans to add an additional 35 locations to their AZ, TX, and NV markets between 2022-2023.
