After the unfortunate closure of two locations, Soulfreak Cafe is not one to be deterred. They’re bouncing back, stronger than ever, with a brand-new spot in the historic Byrd House at 512 2nd St, League City, TX 77573. This revelation comes straight from the cafe’s owner, Amy Lyn, who remains undeterred despite the challenges.

The cafe is not just about serving coffee; it’s about promoting unity within the community. In line with its mission, Soulfreak Cafe has carved a niche for itself by providing a space for local artists, with coffee as the linchpin. The commitment to community is unwavering, and this new space aims to further enhance that.

One of the exciting features of the new location is the kitchen – almost three times the size of the previous one. This expansion hints at the possibility of on-demand cheese boards and even some fresh menu items as they settle in. The aesthetic will be altered to fit the historic aspects and surrounding railway, so all-things-trains will be at the forefront.

However, it’s not just about the interiors. The exterior of the new cafe boasts a host of amenities that reflect its inclusive nature. “In the back, there’s a handicap-accessible playground, basketball courts, restrooms, and a covered pavilion with tables. The front features an open-grass field lined with oak trees, and there is a gazebo and fountain,” explained Lyn.

In its continuous efforts to foster community ties, Soulfreak Cafe will act as a hub not only for neighboring businesses throughout League City, helping to promote and funnel new customers their way as well. But their partnership with Pearland Coffee Roasters continues on, and still will offer its private label branded coffee. As per the previous location, the brand will continue to host art classes, markets, and music with more added events as they get settled in as well.

Lyn is already taking steps to solidify its place in the future. With plans in motion to establish the brand’s first small franchise, Soulfreak Cafe is setting the stage for what the brand could represent in years to come.

Set to open its doors on October 26, 2023, the cafe is raring to go as they are to gain access to the space by next week to start preparations for the Grand Re-Opening. For more information, check out their website.
